ADODE TELLS WARRING COMMUNITIES IN UGHELLI NORTH TO EMBRACE PEACE MOVES..... Sancrosant To Development

The Executive Chairman of  Ughelli North Local Government Council Area, Honourable Godwin Adode has called on the two warring communities of Ekiugbo and Otor-lwhreko to eschew peace and end the violence that has erupted between them.

Honourable Adode gave this appeal on Saturday as he enjoined all to collaborate with traditional leaders, security chiefs and other stakeholders in a concerted effort to bring about, ensuing and enduring peace among the two communities.

A source in the state, who pleaded not to be mentioned, disclosed that the situation in the local government, is very worrisome and there is an urgent need for all to sit down together and proffer solutions that will bring about an amicable resolution and lasting peace.

He lamented the unwarranted loss of lives and damage to properties saying it was unnecessary and unfortunate.

He expressed concerns over the crisis which has been lingering for years but however, expressed hope and confidence in the Adode led administration to bring about an end to the issue that has preceded his administration saying the Local Government Council Chairman has the capacity to address every of the issues but equally called on all involved to join hands with "Coach Tete" to bring peace between all.

In a similar vein, the Executive Chairman also joined other national leaders to celebrate with Nigerian workers as the country celebrates May 1, a day set aside to commemorate the day.

Chief Adode thanked the people of the local government council for their immense support as he promised to live up to his electoral promises in delivering quality governance and transparent leadership at all times.
