"For the avoidance of doubt, the sequence of woes and instabilities that have bedeviled the nation states called Nigeria, since the amalgamation of 1914, are strong reminders of the words "Time Will Tell".... David Adenekan.

The words "Time Will Tell" have been the conclusive summary of many of my articles that some of my readers have branded me Mr. "Time Will Tell". 

What a metaphor that sadly fits into the analogy of many of the unthinkable events in a contraption called Nigeria. 

The phrase, "Time Will Tell” is the predictable result of many anomalies in a banana republic called Nigeria. The many events since the amalgamation of Southern and Northern Protectorates by Lord Lugard in 1914, have led credence to the words/phrase "Time Will Tell'. This is even in the face of the obvious truth that this marriage of necessity, that only favors the economic interest of the colonial master and the northern Oligarchy, will forever be a disaster.

For the avoidance of doubt, the sequence of woes and instabilities that have bedeviled the nation states called Nigeria, since the amalgamation of 1914, are strong reminders of the words "Time Will Tell".

One, that the amalgamation of Southern and Northern protectorates in 1914 was a historical accident as all the many nationalities were forced and packed like sardines to form a country by the colonial master. Did the late sage, Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo not describe Nigeria as a mere geographical expression? Are all of these narratives not the true picture of the contraption called Nigeria? "Time Will Tell".

Two, that the fundamental reason for the civil war that engulfed the country in 1967 and claimed millions of lives was a fight for self determination and currently, the same pursuits has forcefully reemerged and permeated most part of the country, BIAFRA in the east, OODUA REPUBLIC in the west, MEND AND MOSOP in the Niger Delta (South-South) and the Middle Belt Self Determination Movement in the north central. "Time Will Tell".

Three, that the long years of military incursion into politics had plunged the country into many years of darkness and waste in resources going by the oil wind fall in the seventies and eighties, a pointer to the fact that most of the political actors that have been saddled with leadership responsibilities of the country, are not for national interest but selfish interests. "Time Will Tell".

Four, that there is no country that can survive on a mono product economy and over reliance on crude oil which has made the country poorer; and this is due to the lack of visionary leaders. Is Nigeria not the Poverty Capital Of The World. "Time Will Tell".

Five, that the contemporary issue of northern political hegemony has made rubbish of the principle of federal character as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution with the unprecedented lopsided federal appointments in President  Muhammadu Buhari's Administration. "Time will Tell".

Six, that the unmasked Fulani reign of terror to subjugate, emasculate and alienate the indigenous people of Nigeria is genocidal and the likes of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu still cannot see the handwriting on the wall that their so called political ambitions cannot override the Fulani Agenda; and the war is at our door steps. "Time Will Tell".

Seven, that the likes of BAT that are clamouring for "One Nigeria" are living in illusion. President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal are far ahead of their imaginary thinking. The cabal are battle ready to take over the reign of Nigeria's territory and maintain the status quo. All the signals towards the achievement of this goal are all over in the country. "Time Will Tell".

Eight, that President Muhammadu Buhari is an otiose figure and nothing can change his mindset. This is even beyond his self conviction because of the evil network of some Arab countries that see Nigeria as a frontier or centerpiece to spread their own evil brand of Islamic doctrines all over Sub Saharan Africa. Yes, they are battle ready! "Time Will Tell".

Nine, that the time bomb is ticking and we the Indigenous people of Nigeria must wake up from our sleep and face the obvious reality on the ground. Yes, war is very imminent. It is either we unite our forces and fight back to rescue our lands from the marauders or, we all remain slaves forever.

Only Time Will Tell.
