ANNOUNCEMENT: THE 11TH PARAMOUNT RULER OF MBULA KINGDOM MURUM MBULA MURUM BWALTAM BARSU BENTLEY BIYAPO – MURUM MBOIMAN II

The great grandson of Murum Mboiman Muzung (1885 - 1894), the phenomenal Warlord in recorded history of his people, His Royal Highness – Murum Bwaltam Barsu Biyapo ascends the first class throne of the Mbula Kingdom of Demsa Local Government, Adamawa State.

The new King, is set to become the 11th monarch to reign over the warrior people of the Benue Valley as Murum Mbula. 

A thorough bred Prince and ardent scholar, His Royal Highness had long before this day conscientize and imbued himself with the noble virtues of leadership and service to the people.

His Royal Highness Murum Bwaltam Barsu Biyapo, was born to Prince Bentley and Jumai Barsu Biyapo as the first child of the family. 

His father, Chief Bentley Barsu Biyapo who died on 16 September 2009, was with the Nigeria Army intelligence Corp deployed as a military attache in the Russian Embassy where he served for a period of time before coming to serve the Mbula people as Chiroma Mbula. 

His Royal Highness is of the Muzong Royal Family of Ndantul and on 12th July, 2021 he became the 11th Murum Mbula.

Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo had his primary school education at the Kendrya Vidislaya School, Moscow, in the defunct USSR (now Russia). After a brief stint at Shuware Secondary School, Mubi he went to Federal Government College Wukari where he completed his secondary school education. His Royal Highness then proceeded to Federal University of Technology, Yola (FUTY) where in 2008 he graduated with a Bachelor of Technology Agric in Agricultural Economics and Extension in 2008. Before he left FUTY, he was President of the Mbula Students Union where he rejuvenated the union and brought about a lot of deep-seated and lasting changes. 

After his compulsory national service year, Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo was engaged with the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority and while there he undertook various community youth empowerment programs within Mbula communities. In 2011, His Royal Highness picked up employment with the Adamawa State Post Primary Schools Management Board and served his State briefly before joining the Federal Road Safety Corps officer cadre, and first served in Azare, Bauchi State, Girei and Yola in Adamawa State where he steadily rose through the ranks to become a Unit Head.

The determined Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo in search for further knowledge and enlightenment has visited Poland, United Kingdom, Holland, Germany, and Italy and has also obtained a Diploma and Certificates in diverse fields of knowledge. Bearing in mind the great task that awaits him, he studied for a Masters degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology in the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, 2019.

It is said that the faith of all Princes is to gain everything and lose everything in the space of a moment thus, when destiny came calling, Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo put behind his personal gains to embrace the call to serve the Mbula people.
