"Yes, the country is in a dire need of purposeful and visionary leadership to stop the Brain Drain".

The video clip above is the demonstration of the fact that, Africa still remains the centerpiece of England and France's economic policies. It cannot be disputed.

After all, African countries, having gained political independence from their former colonial masters, the economic policies of France and Britain towards Africa has remained that of perpetual exploration and exploitation of both human and mineral resources. 

Emphatically, it is not ironic to say the video clip above is a strong indication of the evil of Neo-Colonialism vis-a-vis, the "Brain Drain" scenario in developing countries like Nigeria. 

However, the fundamental question at this point, is that, are they not smarter than us in Africa to recognize the fact that, investing in human capacity is the greatest asset for nation building and economic development? 

Also, is it not truism to say that the emigration of able and highly educated individuals at the detriment of developing countries like Nigeria, is one of the reasons we are a very poor country today? This is because the best human resources have been ferried out of the country through slavery and neo-colonialism. 

Yes, the fact remains that, one of the evils of Neo-Colonialism is "Brain Drain". 

Honestly speaking, it is worst than the perpetual exploration and exploitation of our mineral resources by our former colonial masters. 

Yes, second to human slavery is "Brain Brain"!

Prejudice apart and to crown it all, "Brain Drain" is another level of degradation of human value. 

Technically or  systematically, have they not put a ceiling on many of us in the western world who migrated under the notion of looking for a better life except you are very lucky to find a divine favor? 

The likes of Erelu Tunwase Ajiun (aka Mummy Adeyinka Dafidi) that rose to the level of Congresswoman in the British legislative arms;  and meritoriously served in that capacity and an enviable position for 16 years, are the very exceptions in the Western world. What a rare and amazing feat in a foreign land! 

I doff my hat for her. 👍👍👍👍👍. 

Suffice to say that, "Brain Drain" is one of the reasons an "Agbero", (semi illiterate or stark illiterate) who does not have any business in governance have taken over the reigns of government in our society today.

Where are the Philosopher Kings for nation building and economic development??? They are all scattered all over the foreign lands including countries like Dubai and Indonesia that were far behind us three decades ago. 

Many of the so-called African migrants are doing menial jobs and few that found jobs in their chosen professions, are either receiving a salary that is not commensurate with their professional jobs or they will never attain the level of self actualization. 

Yes, the country is in a dire need of purposeful and visionary leadership to stop the "Brain Drain". 

In a nutshell, the British government will not roll back an Immigration Policy that is of great benefit to them economically, except African leaders take the bull by the horn and stop them from doing it. 

Indeed, we are profusely bleeding from the "Brain drain" in Africa!

Hmmm, is the writer not also a victim of brain drain?
