Keyamo Flags Off NDE Loan Disbursement, Empowerment In Delta... Appeals for Women To Be Given More Opportunities In The Disbursement Of The Loan.

The Minister of State (Labour & Employment), Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN today flagged off the disbursement of loans and other empowerment programmes organized by the National Directorate of Employment, NDE in Delta State.

Flagging off the programe in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Keyamo thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing him as a minister in his cabinet.

He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari is irrevocably committed to the well being of the poor masses in the country.

He also urged the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment NDE, DG Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo to give more opportunies in the disbursement of the loans.

According to Keyamo,"DG, please give the women more opportunities in the disbursement of the loan. Women are caregivers. 

While noting that six hundred and eighty four persons benefitted in the disbursement of the loan accross Delta State, Keyamo said the ministry will conduct the same programme in other States of the federation.

Keyamo enjoined the beneficiaries to put the loans and other items handed over to them in good use with a view to empowering themselves, families as well creating employment for other.

Earlier in an address, NDE Director General, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, Rt. Hon.(Barr.) Victor Ochei, Deputy Director of NIMASA, the All Progressives Congress, APC Women leader in Delta State, Dr.(Mrs.) Janet Oyubu and others also enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the loan given to them to better their lives.
