DEMOLITION: ONUESOKE COMMENDS UDU LGA CHAIRMAN OVER EXERCISE ...... Says The Proactive Measures Would Return The Aesthetic Of The Council Area.

The Executive Chairman of Udu local government area of delta state, Hon. Chief Jite Brown, has been applauded for the proactive measures adopted at getting rid of the local government, of illegal structures defacing the aesthetic beauty of the area.

This appaluse came from the Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Project Monitoring, Chief Sunny Onuesoke while on a visit to the local council boss, recently.

Chief Onuesoke, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who also aspires for the governorship seat in the state, alongside others, gave the commendation while speaking with journalists during the demolition exercise which lasted for several hours.

According to Chief Onuesoke, the exercise was a welcomed development and also, affirmed that "the proactive measures of the Council boss would send strong signals to land grabbers that it would no longer be business as usual."

In his response, Executive Chairman of the Council, Honourable Jite reiterated that the exercise would be a continuous one. He frowned at those who built on government land without getting approval.

Jite further used the opportunity to warn that, "there would be no sacred cows during the exercise even as he counselled traders at Jigbale, Ubogo market traders and others not to trade by the roadsides."

During the during duration of the demolition exercise, illegal structures at thr Police Post, opposite Free Indeed Church, Orhuwhorun/Igbogidi Road,  Mofor Motor park, Udu Market, Jigbale Market, front of Ovwian police station among others, were demolished.
