HAPPY CELEBRATIONS TO OUR ICONS ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS

Ondo State  chapter of Egbe Afenifere  heartily celebrates and congratulates  two of our icons and elder statesmen,  Basorun Seinde Arogbofa (MON), and Chief Femi Aluko on the celebration of their birthdays.

Basorun Arogbofa and Chief Aluko have for several decades proved to be dependable leaders over which the  Afenifere and the Yoruba race are very proud. It is no surprise therefore that our two leaders have remained symbols of progress and advancement. 

Basorun Seinde Arogbofa; a well-respected and nationally recognized author has received accolades as he celebrates his 84th birth anniversary, come 23rd March, 2023.

Celebrating Chief Seinde Arogbofa, a recipient of the national honours award of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, OFR, Afenifere while eulogizing and recognizing the contributions of the prolific and Award winning author whose works cut across fiction and non-fiction, reiterated the fact that leaders like Chief Arogbofa are iconic and a special breed in the history books of the Yoruba nation.

A statement issued and signed by Comrade Eric Oluwole, Publicity Secretary, Egbe Afenifere Ondo State Chapter noted that the 84years old Chief Arogbofa, the immediate past Secretary General of Afenifere; is a renowned educationist and a Fellow of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice. 

He was at one time, the National President of ANCOPSS (All Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools) whose contributions to the educational advancement of Yoruba culture and traditions remain etched in the minds of the race.

Afenifere also used the opportunity to celebrate another prominent elder and chieftain of the Pan Yoruba group; Afenifere, Chief Femi Aluko, who clocked 84 years on 2nd, February 2023.

They described Chief Femi Aluko as a great personality whose contributions remain indelible to the Yoruba nation and the nation at large and happen to be a former Commissioner of Information Ondo state.

Afenifere extolled the virtues of Chief Aluko which have placed him on the high pedestal of great men and leaders whose wealth of experience have become a well of wisdom that youths of the Yoruba nation have continued to garner from his knowledge.
