Prince Vincent Akinbami, a former Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Sports Development to former Osun state Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has congratulated his former principal on his conferment with the Award of the National Honour, Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The bestowment of the award took place on Sunday, May 28.
According to Prince Vincent Akinbami, "it was a well deserved award looking at his achievement in Osun state and in the financial sector.
"Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, as Governor of Osun state, was a prudent and effective leader who was able to pay back a loan of 97 billion naira incurred by the previous administration in Osun state and he never owed salaries of workers, while executing quality and sustainable projects. It is also pertinent to say that he left so much money in the coffers of the state treasury.
Prince Akinbami added that, "Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola won an award from the World Bank as the most Financially Transparent Governor in Nigeria which won for the state, yearly monetary support.
"Governor Oyetola is the type of technocrat we need in the nations polity; with such men, our economy will grow systematically.
