Barr Nyesom Wike
Fmr. Rivers State Governor

Says PDP’s Right to Expel Wike As High Court Has Justifies His Position.

.... Had PDP Paid Heed to His Counsel, Wike Would Not Have Degenerated into the National Nuisance He Has Become.

.... Counsels Tinubu to be Wary of the Ferocious Viper Sliding Through His Ranks.

....Warns PDP of further plots of Wike

Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze says the judgement of the Federal High Court which reaffirmed that the powers to discipline erring members in line with the provisions of extant laws reside within the province of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nay political parties, confirmed the validity of his counsel when prior to the elections, he asked the PDP to quickly and without hesitation, suspend/ expel former Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, who had perfected plans to manipulate the elections in favour of his selfish agenda against the flag-bearer of his own party, Alh. Atiku Atiku Abubakar.

Delivering judgement on Wednesday June 31, 2023, in a suit filed February 2, by Nyesom Wike through his Lawyer, Joshua Musa SAN, prior to the 2023 general elections to seek a court order to stop the PDP from taking action against him without a fair hearing, Justice James Omotosho said having considered the processes filed by parties and the arguments of counsel, the party had the right to suspend or expel its members and such action must be taken in compliance with its own laws.

In a statement made available to media houses, Eze said having worked closely with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as well as Chief Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the self-acclaimed Media Aide to President Tinubu, while under the administration of former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, ex Minister of Transportation, he is in an advantaged position to predict the actions and intentions of the duo.

He said from his privileged position, after Wike failed to clinch the PDP Presidential ticket during the PDP presidential primaries, he Wike started lobbying and boasting before the media and parading himself as Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP,  he did a memo to the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, warning him to keep Wike at bay and go for then Delta Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate. Knowing very well that he couldn’t have been ill advised by a strong, reliable ally, Alh. Atiku yielded to the counsel after he got similar advise from other well meaning Nigerians and associates.

After Atiku announced Okowa as running mate and Wike started displaying his pettiness which clearly portended grave danger to the party, Chief Eze said he freely offered counsel to the presidential candidate and the leadership of the PDP to quickly slam him with a suspension or better still expel him to save the party the bitter embarrassment he was wont to cause, but stakeholders didn’t act on the advise as they thought Wike would somehow along the line show a sense of genuine repentance through dialogue.

Eze said all the actions of Wike together with his misguided group are before the public domain and had PDP adhered to his patriotic counsel and showed the jobber the way out, there party would not be in its present state.

He however noted that with the court judgment in its favour, the PDP is still within time to show the likes of Wike the way out and embark on a rebuilding project to recover her loses.

Eze said his position stems from the fact that the country needs a very vibrant and coordinated opposition political parties to critically monitor the policies of government serve as watchdog for the interest of Nigerians.

Eze said it is not surprising to see Wike turning himself into an errand boy in Aso Rock; disturbing the tranquility of the environment and nosing around officials of the APC government to get considered for while still deceiving himself as to still be a member of PDP.

Dismissing Wike’s claims that he worked in any way reasonable for the APC and the success of her Presidential candidate, Chief Eze said the former Rivers Governor only ended up denting the image of Bola Tinubu as a seasoned democrat and cautioned the President to be wary of the mischievous character crawling within his ranks as the result of his mischief always brings regrets to anyone who falls prey to his evil antics.

He reminded Tinubu that if Wike could abandon former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife after all they did to impose him as Governor of Rivers State; and if he could abuse and persecute Amaechi, his own brother who not only saw him through Rivers State politics but nominated him to be a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and if he could abandon Senator Magnus Abe his accomplice in the decimation and destruction of APC in Rivers State then no matter what favour is done him today, nothing stops him from displaying his customary treachery when the time is ripe.

Eze highlighted that Wike is done with the 2023 general elections and has set 2027 as his next political agenda with the hope of hijacking PDP structure to execute his 2027 Presidential project adding that the PDP must not treat Wike with kids glove by allowing him penetrate further into their ranks unless the party is not yet ready to build a formidable force for future endeavors.
