TENSION IN DELTA AS SPORADIC GUNSHOTS RENT AIR ..... As Hoodlums From Ogbe-Ijaw Fire Shots Into Aladja

Serious tension is said to have been mounted in Aladja, a community in the Udu Local Government Council Area of Delta State following reported gunshots by hoodlums from Ogbe-Ijoh Community in the early hours of today (Wednesday July 12) attacked and shot into Aladja Community. 

Details as to the cause of the latest shootings is not clear at the time of this report. 

Our Correspondent reports that youths from Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area repelled the attacks and chased them away.

At the time of this report, no casualties from the both parties as they are seriously spoiling for war.

It would be recalled that there have been an agelong boundary dispute between Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja Communities in Warri South-West and Udu Local Government Areas. The dispute has lingered for many years with the Government of Delta State both past and present not doing anything serious to sincerely resolve the crisis between the neighbouring communities.
