A human right activist, Comrade (Amb.) Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen on Monday said the health sector in Delta State has suffered a huge setback in recent years.

Stressing that a lot of government hospitals in the State lack adequate Staff (doctors and nurses), Agberen noted that this has greatly affected the services in the hospitals.

Comrade Agberenz in a statement signed and made available to Our Correspondent said,"The laboratories are not equipped enough, no standby electricity and most of the structures are dilapidated."

He also suggested that medicines in the pharmacies could be given to patients at a reduced price irrespective of age difference.

Comrade Agberen noted that former Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa's administration gave out free medicines to ages 0-5years pointing out incumbent Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration can do more better.
