With millions of Nigerians living in excruciating poverty, the newly appointed Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu has assured that her Ministry under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.

Betta Edu, who promised to lift 136million Nigerians out of poverty, stated that it is in actualization of the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She gave the assurance during her interaction with staff of the Ministry on Monday, shortly after her inauguration with other Ministers at the State House.

The Minister stated that the Ministry would work to actualize the vision of lifting 136million Nigerians out of poverty.

Beta Edu revealed that President Tinubu has an agenda, which is to renew the hopes of Nigerians, with her Ministry as an anchor to actualize the agenda.

She lamented that many Nigerians are living under one dollar a day hence the need for innovations to lift many Nigerians out of poverty, while also, promising to meet the needs of those who are affected by humanitarian crises.

The Minister expressed her confidence that with all hands on deck, the Ministry will emerge as the best and most effective Ministry in Nigeria.
