BASHIR JAMOH BOWS OUT AS NIMASA DG.

News reports filtering in reveals that the tenure of the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh, has expired.
The tenure expiration is reported to have ended on Sunday 10th of March 2024.
Presidency sources say there are likely chances of an extension for the Director General to serve out another term, if the feelers are anything to go by.
However, the Presidency has remained silent on the issue even as a source within the Villa, who preferred to remain anonymous stressed that there is a strong lobby in process over who will expectedly, replace Bashir Jamoh.
Information from the NIMASA Headquarters in Lagos revealed that Dr Jamoh would be handing over on Monday (today, March 11, 2024) to the Executive Director in charge of Finance and Administration, Chudi Ofordile who would act until a substantive DG is named by Mr President.
Dr Bashir Jamoh was appointed as Director General of NIMASA on 10th of March 2020 by former President Muhammadu Buhari. He replaced Dr Dakuku Peterside.
Prior to that, Jamoh served as Executive Director, Finance and Administration.
