STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS TO END BAD GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA. By David Adenekan.

Nigerian Protesters

"A blanket of deep darkness hovers upon a country called Nigeria. A political stalemate indeed! Only time will tell." Adenekan

"They are now in despair and are currently engaged in a hopeless move to divide and rule the people. They are giving a peaceful protest an ethnic coloration that it is the Igbos against Tinubu government, because Tinubu is a Yoruba man by tribe. To them, it is as if the Igbos, Kanuris, Hausas, Yorubas, Urhobos, Efiks, Binis, and Ibibos are not buying food stuffs from the same market."

"Every man of humane convictions must decide on the protest that best suits his convictions, but we must all protest" - Martin Luther King Jr.

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that Matter." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Democracy in itself is not a means to an end, but liberty to enjoy the dividends of democracy, such as the provision of basic needs of life like: food, water, shelter, clothing, health, sleep and safety." - David Adenekan.

In today's Nigeria, the basic needs of life for citizens are too costly to buy; and vast majority of our people are now living in abject poverty.

This current administration is highly insensitive to the plight of the majority of people that are suffering in severe hunger and acute poverty.

"EBI PA WA O (WE ARE SUFFERING FROM SERIOUS HUNGER)!!!"

A mass protest to turn the deaf ears of those in power to the plight of the people is now!

Prejudice apart and without mincing words, the kind of political wiles that are being employed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his cabal to captivate the people not to embark on a peaceful protest to end bad government is unparalleled in the history of this country:

1. The clandestine move to use Oro festival in Lagos state to terrorize and intimidate peaceful protesters is unspeakable.

2. There is a sinister move to hire and engage gullible citizens to occupy the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park at Ojota to 'SAY NO' to a peaceful protest to end bad government in Nigeria.

3. The ruling party in Lagos state is desperately seeking for court order to restrain the movement of the protesters to a confined area outside the metropolis, so that, the impact of the protest will not be felt by the government in power. Is this not a total disregard or violation to  the right for freedom of movement as enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended, under the doctrine of rule of law?

4. To crown it all, who was behind the so called riot and vandalization of some malls along Adeniran Ogunsanya Road, Surulere in Lagos state two days ago that is now trending on social media? Are they not already painting a gloomy picture as the hand works of protesters to dissuade concerned citizens from joining the peaceful protest to end bad government in Nigeria? The protest has not even started.

A blanket of deep darkness hovers upon a country called Nigeria. A political stalemate indeed! Only time will tell.

5. They are now in despair and are currently engaged in a hopeless move to divide and rule the people. They are giving a peaceful protest an ethnic coloration that it is the Igbos against Tinubu government, because Tinubu is a Yoruba man by tribe. To them, it is as if the Igbos, Kanuris, Hausas, Yorubas, Urhobos, Efiks, Binis, and Ibibos are not buying food stuffs from the same market.

SHAMELESS PEOPLE!

Emphatically, this is not a tribal cold war between the Igbos and Yorubas; it is a fight for economic freedom; and to end bad governance in Nigeria.

THIS PEACEFUL PROTEST TO END BAD GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA WILL HOLD. GBAM!

LET THE MASSES BREATHE!

THE RIGHT FOR PEACEFUL PROTEST IS GUARANTEED IN OUR CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY!

RISE UP AND JOIN THE MASS PROTEST TO END BAD GOVERNMENT IN NIGERIA!

THE PROTEST IS SCHEDULED TO START ON AUGUST 1ST, 2024.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
