The Maden Healthcare Foundation has called on the Federal Government, security agencies, and other stakeholders to intensify efforts to secure the release of abducted schoolchildren across Nigeria, warning that continued attacks on schools threaten the nation's future.

In a statement, the foundation expressed concern over recurring school abductions in the country, describing the recent kidnapping of students in Oyo State as a stark reminder of the persistent insecurity facing children and educational institutions.

The organisation condemned all forms of violence against children and urged authorities to strengthen search-and-rescue operations, improve security around schools and communities, and invest in intelligence gathering to prevent future incidents.

Maden Healthcare Foundation also called for psychosocial support for affected children and families, while demanding that perpetrators of school abductions be apprehended and prosecuted.

According to the foundation, every child has the right to learn in a safe environment and return home without fear, stressing that abducted children are more than statistics but future leaders, professionals, and contributors to national development.

The foundation urged Nigerians not to become accustomed to such tragedies, calling on citizens to demand accountability and support efforts aimed at creating a safer environment for children.

"We have not forgotten the missing children, and we stand with their families. The time to act is now," the statement said.
