2027: Tompolo mobilises Taraba for Tinubu, donates 25 campaign vehicles
“Every policy needs time to consolidate; every policy needs time to show dividends. Every policy reformation will always come with its own challenges, but once we bear a little and they pass, we will go to the smooth road we are to ride on.” Tompolo.

The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has mobilised supporters in Taraba State for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Tompolo, who spoke through the movement’s representative, High Chief Kestin Pondi, at the launch of its grassroots mobilisation campaign in Jalingo on Friday, said the reforms of the Tinubu administration required more time to consolidate and deliver their expected benefits.
He urged residents of the state to support Tinubu for another term, arguing that continuity would enable the administration to build on its achievements.
“Taraba is thriving because President Tinubu has good reformation policies that are moving the state forward. If we want those policies to continue and be more solid, to consolidate on them, we need to give the president another four years,” he said.
According to him, another term would ensure the continued payment of civil servants’ salaries as and when due, while also giving Governor Agbu Kefas more time to pursue his development agenda in the state.
Tompolo also cited the reduction in fuel queues and disruptions to university education as some of the changes he attributed to the policies of the Tinubu administration.
He, however, acknowledged that reforms could come with difficulties, saying such challenges should be endured to allow the policies to mature.
“Every policy needs time to consolidate; every policy needs time to show dividends. Every policy reformation will always come with its own challenges, but once we bear a little and they pass, we will go to the smooth road we are to ride on,” he said.
He charged members of the movement to intensify mobilisation across the state, including in homes, religious centres, wards, local government areas and polling units.
Speaking at the event, Governor Agbu Kefas said the people of Taraba were already witnessing the impact of the Tinubu administration through federal projects being executed in the state.
“Taraba is ready. You don’t need to tell the people of Taraba State what the President is doing; they are seeing what the President is doing through me,” Kefas said.
The governor said his administration remained committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and would continue to collaborate with the Federal Government on development projects.
“We are moving forward with the mandate of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and by the grace of God we are going to go to all the units, the wards and be flagging off projects and commissioning projects, not telling empty stories,” he said.
Kefas also pledged massive support for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, saying the state was prepared to mobilise voters for the President.
“I want to assure you that we are going to turn out en masse and give the President 100 percent votes. We are ready for Mr. President,” he said.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, said the group was in Taraba to extend its mobilisation campaign and message of support for Tinubu and Governor Kefas.
Asuku urged Nigerians to maintain what he described as the current political direction, arguing that abandoning the reforms of the Tinubu administration would be counterproductive.
“The surest way for us today is the APC. We are on the right trajectory and that is why we should remain where we are,” he said.
He commended Kefas for what he described as achievements recorded in Taraba in the past three years, saying the turnout at the event demonstrated grassroots support for the governor.
The event culminated in the donation of 25 campaign vehicles, generators and electronic speakers to strengthen the movement’s grassroots mobilisation activities across the state.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement said the campaign would continue across communities and polling units as preparations for the 2027 presidential election gather momentum.
