EMERGING REPORTS: APC CHIEFTAIN, OTEGA EMERHOR ARRESTED
Emerging reports from Villa sources have hinted of the arrest of top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Emerhor, who is reported to be the main financier of the party in Delta state, was reportedly arrested by operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS alongside Engr. Sam Ajogbe.
The arrest of the duo, according to Villa sources, occurred this afternoon in Abuja while preparing, as part of a delegation of prominent Urhobo Kings and leaders who were on a visit to Mr. President at Aso Rock Villa.
According to the highly placed source, attempts by Adjogbe to seek the intervention of eminent Deltans in the Presidency failed, as they were both lead away by the DSS operatives.
Pressed for further information as to why the duo were arrested, the source said the exact reasons remains yet unknown but whether this development is connected with Saturday’s violent invasion of the Eagle Square by suspected thugs as at the time President Muhammadu Buhari was giving his address at the APC Convention, is yet to be known.
It would be recalled that a clash by delegates from Delta state almost caused pandemonium at the Eagles Square following the free use of chairs and tables by alleged supporters of Emerhor and those loyal to another faction.
