COVID-19 PALLIATIVE SUPPORT: URHOBOWOOD SET TO STORM EWVRENI AND UDU KINGDOM.

The
Urhobowood International, a Non Governmental Organization has reiterated its commitment
at providing support to Urhobo sons and daughters including those in the Diaspora.
The group has continued in its promise to provide palliatives to people in the rural communities in
Delta state in order to cushion the effects of the lockdown to checkmate the
spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A
statement issued and signed by its Director of Publicity, Ibebe Rufus revealed
that it has concluded its arrangement for the provision of Palliative Support
to the people of Evwreni and Udu Kingdoms by Urhobowood International.
Rufus,
in the statement, stressed that, “this move is part of the Urhobowood
International Covid-19 Palliative support initiative to Urhobo Youths, women
and all those that are promoting the Urhobo art and culture”.
According
to the statement, it revealed that the Founder of the Urhobowood
International, Amb. (Dr.) Chief Udusan Joseph Orekereke has stressed that, “the
Palliative support would be given to people from these mentioned Kingdoms on
Friday, 1st of May, 2020 at venues that would be communicated to the general
public soonest”.
“Urhobowood
International therefore, humbly wishes to call on all well meaning Urhobo sons
and daughters, to support this Initiative through donation of cash and food
materials as well as facemasks and hand sanitizers to be given to the people to
help in the alleviation of their suffering”.
“Any
support given no matter how big or small would be highly appreciated”, the
statement appealed.
