One of Nigeria's best in the movies and entertainment industry, a thespian and a household name, doing what she knows how to do best, acting; Rachael Oniga is dead.
Rachel Oniga, who hailed from Eku Community in Agbon Kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, died in the early hours of Saturday July 31, 2021 at the age of 64 years.
A statement issued and signed by the Executive Assistant, Communications to the Delta State Governor, Chief Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, described the death of the movie thespian as a huge loss to the people of Delta State.
According to the EACGovDelta, "Rachael was a tube goddess and a beautiful damsel; an illustrious daughter of Urhobo nation of Delta Central Senatorial District. She was born in Lagos, and played significant roles in the buildup for Nollywood as the national film industry's trade mark".
"She will be greatly missed", Chief Oghenesivbe said.
"My condolences to Nollywood family, her immediate community of Eku, Delta State, her immediate family, children and to all her teeming fans around the world".
