NIGERIA DECIDES: Right Activist, Israel Joe Commends LP, Peter Obi For Seeking Legal Redress

A human right activist, Comrade Israel Joe has commended the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi for seeking legal redress over the alleged fraudulent presidential election held recently.

This is contained in a statement signed by Israel Joe and a copy made available to Naij News Alert, NNA in Warri, the commercial capital of Delta State late on Sunday.

According to Comrade Israel Joe, "it should be known that the court of Law goes pari pasu with evidences and facts.

"What was seen and experienced during the election is not enough to cancel the elections until it is transmuted into raw sizeable facts and presentable evidences." He stated.

The activist urged the political parties in Nigeria to create websites with large data base where Nigerians can upload tested and accredited original copies of results and evidences from the Polling Units to Wards and Local Government levels, and subsequently submit hardcopies at their disposal to the parties.

According to Joe, "Pictures and videos of violence across Nigeria, especially those where security forces, INEC, politicians and other anti democratic actors were seen in action, should also be uploaded to the website, along with location, time and date."

He opined that, "This will enable Nigerians to test the transparent powers of the judiciary and return the power of presidency to the people of Nigeria according to the justice-able rulings of the court."
