NEW INTERIOR MINISTER, TUNJI-OJO ASSURES OF LEADING FROM FRONT .... Says "I Don't Know It All

The Minister of Interior, Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has assured the management, staff and agencies within the ministry of Interior that he would lead from the front and not from the back to succeed on its mandates.

The Minister gave the assurance when he assumed duty on Monday at the Ministry's headquarters, Abuja.

In a statement issued and signed by Afonja Fatai Ajibola, Deputy Director Press and Public Relations Department of the Interior Affairs Ministry, the Minister assured that he would provide leadership from the front with trust, and he asked  the management and staff to do the same that he doesn't know it all, he added; it is on the basis of trust that the country would fulfil the policy thrust of renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, therefore called for intellectual challenge in the pursuit of his duty and he in turn told the management that he would challenge them to ensure results are achieved in their respective responsibilities.

While formally welcoming the Minister, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade praised God that he has answered the prayers of the Ministry staff by making him a Minister of Interior, where she said he had hits the ground running right at the office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, she congratulated the Minister for the appointment and assuring him of cooperation and unalloyed loyalty of management and staff of the Ministry.

She also told the Minister to count on her and the management team that they are capable of making him succeed in his new assignment, she said she never tired while at work, she only tired when doing nothing.

Present at the welcome ceremony were the CGs of the four agencies of the Ministry, the Secretary of the board, Jar'faru Ahmed, the management team and members of staff of the Ministry .
