1,500 APC Members Defect to NNPP In Kano State .... Cite APC's Failure To Meet The Aspirations Of The People

About 1,500 former members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were on Sunday, February 2025 welcomed into the ruling New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.
The defectors who were drawn from various wards of Gwarzo local government areas of the state, were officially received by the Deputy Governor at his office on Sunday night, where they pledged their loyalty to the NNPP and its leadership.
Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, spokesperson of the Deputy Governor, in a statement, disclosed that the Deputy Governor commended the defectors for their decision, describing it as a bold step towards supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in delivering good governance and developmental projects.
He assured them of equal opportunities and full integration into the party structure.
