TCN MD Visit Substations in Lagos State. .... Undertakes Inspection Tour

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN Engr. Sule A. Abdulaziz is currently on an official visit to substations in Lagos State to inspect ongoing and recently completed projects.
A statement from the General Manager Public Relations, Ndidi Mbah disclosed that the inspection tour started with a visit to the Otta 132/33kV transmission substation, which falls under the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
According to the GM Public Relations, Engr Abdulaziz inspected the newly commissioned 100/125 MVA power transformer at the substation and an ongoing installation of a second 100/125MVA transformer.
"The energized 100/120MVA power transformer has been in circuit since April 4, 2024, adding a maximum of 100MW to the substation's capacity." The statement read.
This means that IBEDC now has more bulk power available for distribution to customers in Ota, Iju, Sango, Ijoko, Atan, and environs. This will further increase as soon as the second 100MVA transformer is completely installed.
