CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST SLAMS DELTA POLICE COMMISSIONER OVER TINTED GLASS USE ..... Says Decision To Commence Enforcement Is Lawless

"We shall shortly occupy the streets in dramatising the shamelessness of the Police in Delta State as we call for the tenets of a free nation today, being independence day." Comrade Joe, President of the De-Advocates of Justice.

Civil Rights Activist, Comrade Israel Joe has expressed his disgust and disappointment with the decision of the Delta State Police Command following its announcement to commence the enforcement of tinted glass policy across the state, starting from tomorrow 2nd of October 2025.

The pronouncement was made by the Delta State Commissioner of Police CP, Olufemi Abaniwonda, through the Delta State Command spokesperson SP Bright Edafe. 

According to Comrade Joe, who is the President of "De-Advocates for Justice" that has remained consistent in its fight for justice, accountability and respect for the rule of law for the voiceless in the society, "It is surprising that such orders are being dished out in a time when the country celebrates its Independence, which should connote freedom. This shows that we are not free from the oppressive tendencies of the ruling class.

"The case of tinted glass policy is pending for determination by an Abuja Federal High Court. The prayers question the legality, constitutionality, and ultimately the lawfulness of the police on such a policy. Automatically by law, the status-quo should remain even as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has acknowledged receipt of the suit." Comrade Joe stated.

He warned that, "The directive of the CP Delta lacks lawfulness and subsequently portends dictatorial tendencies to extort Deltans with illegally yet unconstitutional orders. I wish the Inspector General of Police calls the CP Delta to order as I urge resident of Delta State to resist such orders.
